Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) Horn antennas are generally calibrated in an anechoic chamber using the three-antenna method. The distance between antenna apertures is often used as the antenna separation distance based on the three-antenna method in free space. In this paper, the phase center location is used to determine the gain for horn antennas. The phase center of a pyramidal horn antenna is calculated using the finite integral method, and then the gain is measured by using the distance between phase centers obtained from this calculation. Measured results of gain on the basis of phase center locations are in good agreement with theoretical values. The uncertainty (k=2) of the measurement is 0.13 dB to 0.16 dB in a frequency range 18 GHz to 26.5 GHz.
