Abstract(in Japanese) | (See Japanese page) |
Abstract(in English) | Coarse-grained dynamically reconfigurable processor arrays (DRPAs) can play an important role in multimedia System-on-a-Chip (SoC) as an off-loading engine IP (Intellectual Property). Their efficiency and flexibility provide potential power to accelerate various applications. The flexibility, however, incurs inevitable variations in execution time at context and task levels. In this study, we proposed a context and task dependent DVFM (Dynamic Voltage and Frequency Management) scheme for DRPAs, which can control supply voltage and frequency suitable for the expected execution time and evaluated the impact of the DVFM on power and energy consumption. |
