A study on noise robust voice activity detection using RSF

Abstract(in English) In this report a voice activity detection method is studied for noisy environments. The proposed method applies running spectrum filtering (RSF) that filters a time trajectory of short-time spectrums in a running spectral domain. After the noise reduction of RSF processing, the system detects voiced periods from noisy speech signals in time domain. This voiced periods are determined by calculating an energy value from time domain signals and then taking the threshold determination. We show the experimental results evaluating a conventional and the proposed methods in voice activity detection of sentence speeches in noisy environments.
