Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) Disk resonators are fabricated with isotropic artificial dielectrics made of Teflon-coated spherical copper balls for the first time. These artificial resonators are placed inside a cylindrical cavity resonator and excited with a horizontal loop probe. The shifting of resonant frequencies of the first few modes, as the height of the sample varies, occurs in a similar fashion as seen in the natural dielectric resonator. Investigation is extended to resonators made of artificial anisotropic dielectric too.
