Abstract(in English) In this paper, the guiding problems by multilayered dielectric gratings with the air-hole type elliptic cylinders and rectangular cylinders are analyzed using the combination of improved Fourier series expansion method and the multilayer division method. In the numerical results, it is discussed for the propagation constants compare with between air-hole rectangular cylinders and elliptic cylinders.
