Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) Conducting polymer, polypyrrole (PPy), is well known to show various electrochemomechanical deforming (ECMD) behaviors with dopant and solution. We shynthesized a dianion consisting long alkylchain in which one or both ends were substituted by sulfonate, and investigated the ECMD effect with the dopants. The film displayed cathodic expansion, indicating the alkyl sulfonates being doped and fixed in the film. The magnitude of ECMD is, however, rather small with dianion as compared to that with anion dopant.
