Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) This paper proposes an efficient parallel processing system for real-time 3-D digital filtering. To reduced hardware control complexities and communication overhead, the architecture of this system consists of a reduced-mesh multiprocessor with an orthogonal memory array. This conflict-free memory array is designed and shown to be suitable for VLSI implementation. This architecture is well suited for the implementation of a parallel separable 3-D digital filter. Consequently, linear speed up and real time video signal processing can be achieved on this system.
