Analogy and Difference in Transmission Characteristics for Modulated Superlattices with Gaussian Potential Profile and Periodic Superlattices

Abstract(in English) It is known that periodic superlattices have mini-band characteristics. Modulated superlattices with Gaussian potential profile which nearly form flat pass-bands have characteristics analogous with mini-band characteristics. In this paper, we show that there exist some regularity in defference in transimission characteristics between both superlattices. According to the regularity, we can estimate the transmission characteristics of modulated superlattices with Gaussian potential profile from those of periodic superlattices.
