Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) In this paper, two packet transfer schemes between CLSs (Connectionless Servers) on ATM networks are examined, and these effects are evaluated. The one is transfering per packet, which makes traffic bursty but can concentrate cell losses caused by buffer overflow on a few packets. The other is transfering per ATM-cell, which is harder to cause buffer overflow than it. In addition, we evaluated the perfortmance of the selective cell discarding strategies which will implove packet throuput.
