Proposal of Time Critical Communication Protocol with variable TTHT

Abstract(in English) In control communications such as industrial plant control and FA (factory automation), it is required not only high speed communication but also completion of data transmission within a specified time (time criticality). Timed Token Protocol which is used by FDDI (Fiber Distributed Data Interface), can not guarantee time criticality when a network is overloaded. To solve it, we proposed a Time Critical Communication Protocol. In this paper, we introduce a modification to its protocol which uses the variable TTHT mechanism according to data traffic. This paper describes Time Critical Communication Protocol, and evaluates it by simulations under various conditions.
