Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) We investigated the wide spectral width and ultrashort optical pulse generation in 1.5μm region for the measurement of ultra-fast phenomena in optical active devices. Supercontinuum optical pulses with a spectral width of 300nm were generated by propagating pulses through a normal group-velocity dispersion fiber of 1m. And their temporal width were compressed to 60fs by a 1.3μm zero-dispersion fiber of 45cm. We analyzed the phenomena using the nonlinear Schodinger equation and the transfer function. The experiments and the simulations are in good agreement.
