Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) Optical switches is classified into capacitive type, which consumes almost no static power and traveling wave type, which switches quickly. When frequent switching is required, e.g. for tera-bit class optical packet switching, it is shown that capacitive type switches can be driven for high speed switching considering transmission delay and that traveling wave type switches consumes less power than capacitive ones.
