Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) We have been developing "Body-Braille" which presents Braille data using 6 micro vibrators on the surface of the any parts of the body. We analyzed the reading characteristic of the vibration pattern by six vibrators. We found that a method of the presentation dividing a Braille cell into three (the three block mode) obtained the correct answer rate of almost 100% when the vibration period was appropriate. At the three block mode, the vibration number of vibrators is two or less. We paid attention to this feature and we designed the presentation method for Body-Braille using two vibrators. We made experiment of reading the pattern of Braille and then we obtained high collect answer rate. However, there were cases where the correct answer rate doesn't improve even if vibration period was lengthened. As the solution of this problem, we devised the appropriate presentation method which made the vibration period a half, and changed a simultaneous vibration into a continuous one. We were able to improve the correct answer rate by this presentation method.
