Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) photo-irradiation effects on photoluminescent and electroluminescent properties in a conducting polymer, poly (2-methoxy-5-dodecyloxy-p-phenylene vinylene) were investigated. In photoluminescence, a two-step change is observed. That is, the quantum efficiency droped within a few minuites of irradiation, and blue-shift of the emission spectrum with unchanged efficiency was observed by further irradiation. On the other hand, phtoirradiation of an electroluminescent device with a semitransparent-Al cathode resulted in drastic drop of emission intensity, and optically patternable electroluminescent device based on this phenomenon was prosed and fabricated.
