Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) Coherent Change Detection (CCD) is a technique that detects temporal changes in scene from an interferometric Synthetic Aperture Radar (SAR) image pair. CCD detects changes based on a coherence map estimated from the pair, thus an accurate coherence map is absolutely essential for increasing the precision of the change detection. The coherence map is, in general, estimated by spatial sample averaging, therefore, there is trade-off between the accuracy of the coherence estimation and the spatial resolution. In this paper, we propose an algorithm to improve the performance of the coherence estimation by utilizing adaptive windows. The performance of the proposed method is evaluated by computer simulations, and it is shown that the proposed method improves the resolution by a factor of 2 over the conventional method without losing the accuracy of the coherence estimation.
