Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) A holographic stereogram (HS) is one of methods for displaying three-dimensional (3-D) image data, and has been developed combining the techniques of holography and stereo-photography. As the HS is synthesized using many sequential two-dimensional (2-D) images, 3-D computer graphics (CG) images which have a stereoscopic effect can be obtained by recording CG images on holographic film. In this paper, a method based on OpenGL is proposed to create sequential perspective 2-D images for HS synthesis, and also results of image reconstruction from the synthesized HSs are presented. In OpenGL programming, 3-D objects of simple structure such as a cube, a teapot, and a dodecahedron are rendered by calling routines included in an auxiliary library, and other objects such as chairs are rendered by defining geometric primitives between glBegin and glEnd routines.
