Abstract(in English) | We have developed wideband low chirp 1.55μm electro-absorption modulator integrated DFB (EA/DFB) laser for 43 Gbit/s 2-km fiber transmission. A clearly opened-eye waveform having 11dB of extinction ratio and +2.1dBm of output power was attained with about 1.0dB of power penalty after 2-km transmission. This device has enough performances for practical use in 40Gbit/s transmission systems. |
