Abstract(in English) | We simulated device characteristics of amorphous Si solar cells for optimizing its solar energy conversion efficiency with the actually measured material parameters. Although a number of simulation studies have been done on amorphous solar cells, some material parameters such as carrier concentrations were estimated to be equal to doping level. The assumption sometimes may lead to unexpected erroneous results. To solve this problem, we have conducted measurement of material parameters of an amorphous Si, its optical energy band gap and the carrier density. In this paper, optimization of the material parameters such as carrier lifetime and mobility in i-layer, and texturing on the surface of the top p-layer are proposed. |
