Abstract(in English) An optical fabrication of azo dye molecular films has been investigated using a local polarization in optical near-field. The locally polarized optical near-fields on a prism surface were generated by superposing two evanescent waves cross-propagating on the surface. Gratings of the azo films with nano-structure were fabricated by photo-isomerization process caused by the local polarizations of the optical near-fields. The migrations of the azo dye molecules and their orientations were evaluated by means of photoluminescence spectroscopy.
