Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) The Genetic Algorithm (GA) is used in this paper for the design of compact size microwave circuits. We proposed a novel function to make a variety of circuit's topologies out of sequences of binary system, which we call genes. As validation of the design approach, microwave filters operating at 3 to 5 GHz are designed, and tested. Good agreement is found between measured and theoretical data. This validates the GA approach as a novel method for the design of microwave circuits.
