Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) One of navigation performance parameters, TTFF (time to first fix), means time leading to the first position fix from power-on of the receiver. TTFF is determined by acquisition time of GPS signals and time necessary for reception of navigation message which contains each satellite orbit information. While various technologies and algorithms are proposed to reduce signal acquisition time, the reception time of navigation message has been the dominant parameter of TTFF. In order to reduce TTFF, the author investigated techniques to reduce time to obtain orbit information with the accuracy for navigation purpose. Here the author proposes a method applicable to the SBAS, satellite-based augmentation system, which will be operational very shortly in Japan. The method is also applicable to augmentation signal of the QZSS, quasi-zenith satellite system, which is being developed by Japan.
