Proposal of QoE assessment framework for quality management on IPTV service

Abstract(in English) Recently, mainstream of telecommunication technology is going to migrate to next generation network. one of the most important applications of next generation network is IPTV service. In order to provide IPTV service with appropriate quality, the in-service quality management of IPTV service based on Quality of Experience (QoE) is important. Therefore, the QoE assessment methods that have good accuracy and efficiency are needed. QoE assessment methods have been studied for many years. However, we don't have enough discussions about where we should monitor quality and what type of quality we should manage for in-service quality management of IPTV service. Therefore, in this paper, we investigate the availability of conventional QoE assessment methods to in-service quality management of IPTV service. Then, we point out the problem about the availability. After that, we propose the new QoE assessment framework that solves the problem.
