Abstract(in English) In 2.4GHz inter-building wireless networks, available throughput dynamically changes. Controlling output bit rate is required in transmitting videos over these networks. We evaluated the existing dynamic rate control scheme, which controls bit rate according to ICMP echo success rates and average RTTs, in our inter-building wireless network system. It is found that PER increases in a specific time period. In this paper, we propose a new dynamic rate control scheme using RTT to reduce PER, and present evaluations on our wireless system. These evaluations show that the proposed control scheme significantly reduces PER over the existing control scheme.
