Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) Service providers that provide Internet access to their customers need not only to maintain the stability of their own network but also to reply appropriately to inquiries from customers concerning the causes of current or past connectivity problems. However, it is hard task for network operators to prepare reports on network status in response to enormous number of inquiries. The reason is why methods to obtain network status from external networks are limited to usage of public BGP data archives, for example. This paper proposes a BGP database system for managing BGP data archives, which helps network operators to obtain the status of external networks quickly. The paper also describes the design and implementation of the system and provides an evaluation of its performance.
