Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) When we introduce a wireless LAN system into a long and narrow communication area like a tunnel and an underground passage, we can extend a Wireless-LAN coverage area by using a leaky coaxial cable (LCX). In this paper, we laid a LCX in the runnel, and analyzed radio propagation characteristics and evaluated a phonetic quality of wireless IP Phone, and then we confirmed that we could extend a coverage area to 500m in the environment where curves and a metal partition existed.
