Abstract(in English) The terrestrial digital TV broadcasting system began form 2003, and all analog terrestrial TV broadcasting system will be transferred into digital TV broadcasting system. The satellite re-transmission system of terrestrial digital TV broadcasting signal is proposed for viewers in remote island or sparsely populated areas in Japan. This satellite re-transmission experiments for terrestrial digital broadcasting CTV signals were carried out by using the 14/12 GHz band transponder for remote islands or sparsely populated areas in Japan. Parabolic antenna and the LuneQ antenna were used for selection of remote islands or sparsely populated areas in Japan. Parabolic antenna and the LuneQ antenna were used for selection of adequate antenna for satellite retransmission system. By using those data, satellite diversity (Sat. D) system and time-delayed diversity (TDD) systems characteristics were calculated for high quality reception of satellite retransmission signals.
