Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) A novel multi-view video coding method utilizing down-sampled images is proposed. Both low computational complexity and High compression efficiency are essential for multi-view video coding since data rate is much higher as it contains more views. In this report, we propose a coding method for a multi-view sequence that contain different spatial resolution images where spatial resolution is decreased for several views for reducing total complexity and bit rate. In the proposed method, images are reconstructed by up-sampling decoded images as a post processing. This report also presents that analysis of supported spectrum of light fields in the proposed coding system.
