Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) Light field rendering(LFR) is a fundamental method for synthesizing free-viewpoint images from a set of images captured at multiple viewpoints. The image synthesized by LFR has ghosting artifacts in many cases, because focal planes are different from an actual scene. In the case of center view images, the ghosting artifacts have a symmetrical property in the depth direction of back and forward an actual scene. In this paper, we propose a method for synthesizing center view images from the image synthesized by LFR with the use of the symmetrical property of ghost artifacts.
