Abstract(in English) Phase synchronization is one of the important technique in coherent receiver employing digital signal processing which is expected to applied to over-40Gbit/s optical transmission system. In this paper, two phase synchronization methods, i.e phase lock loop/feed-back and phase estimation/feed-forward methods, are compared both in synchronization performance and hardware implementation aspects. We demonstrate the feed-forward phase synchronization technique in an experiment using 43Gbit/s RZ-QPSK signal and confirmed that the frequency offset tolerance between signal light and local oscillator can be improved by optimization of block size.
