Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) Here is presented experiments on temporal evolution and patial distribution of optical emission spectra from alternating-current plasma display (AC-PDP). Measurement shows that emission intensity, which is induced from Ne and Xe atom, drastically changes in each discharge stage and each spatial region. In initial discharge, intensity o f Ne emission is much stronger than that of Xe emission in cathode and anode region, and I_/I_ decreases with an increase in discharge time. There is also considerable effect of discharge voltage, gas pressure, and Xe partial pressure on I_/I_. Time-resolved measurement of optical emission spectra is useful to investigate the electron temperature.
