Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) The photoluminescence (PL) and thermoluminescence (TL) characteristics of BaMgAl_<10>O_<17> (BAM) and SrMgAl_<10>O_<17> (SAM) are studied under vacuum ultraviolet (VUV: λ=146nm) excitation. The host emission from BAM is observed at 300K whereas no signal is obtained from SAM. This result suggested that the host emmision from BAM relates to the defects in BAM lattice. It is estimated that the radiative energy transfer originating from BAM host contributes to about 20% of total Eu^<2+> emitting under 146nm excitation.
