Abstract(in Japanese) | (See Japanese page) |
Abstract(in English) | Sensor networks contribute global environment monitoring, massive bio-mass production for bio-energy resource, surveillance of foods and so on. However, much lower cost sensor nodes and broadband Internet services/long-range communication technologies should be developed. Sensor networks will be key technology for profitable agriculture, new businesses to improve environment and methods of anti-global warming, if photosynthesis rate, soil moisture profile and physiological state of plans can be measured. These technologies will be able to assist reforesting in deserts and water-saving agriculture. |
