Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) In this paper, we consider a statistical approach for software release problem. In particular, we focus on the development of risk assessment for the uncertainty of parameter estimation in the release problem. To realize this purpose, the Bayesian estimation is applied to estimate model parameters and derives the Value-at-Risk (VaR) of software release time. To compute the VaR, we use the variational Bayes technique for the posterior distribution. Finally, we derive the cost distribution by using the variational posterior distribution for a given release time, and formulate the VaR of software release time.
