Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) We proposed FTTSS(Fourier Transform of Ternarized Spectral Slope) as a feature for noise-robust speech recognition. In order to extract FTTSS, a filter bank of 64 channels was used and the frequency range of the filter bank was set to 8000Hz. Aiming at applying the feature FTTSS to telephone speech, we have recognized speech through pseudo telephone line and actual telephone line, and examined appropriate values of frequency range, channel size and band width of the filter bank to improve recognition performance. And we compared the result of recognition with using the conventional feature MFCC(Mel Frequency Cepstral Coefficients) to evaluate the FTTSS.
