Abstract(in English) This work proposes a method for measurement of tooth shape by magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) using a dental mouthpiece made of a thermoplastic elastomer. Because this materials blended with edible paraffin, it can be imaged with high signal intensity MRI. Also, this dental mouthpiece is formed in a vacuum in order to eliminate formation of air bubbles and thereby obtain even MR images. The teeth, on the other hand, are imaged with low signal intensity that contrasts against the dental mouthpiece, thus enabling extraction of tooth shape from the MR images.
