Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) This paper presents the performance of spectrum sensing for ATSC digital TV (DTV) signal in IEEE802.22 wireless regional area network (WRAN). Spectrum sensing is a key function of cognitive radio, which uses a vacant frequency spectrum for communications by detecting signal from incumbent (primary) communication devices. In this paper, detection performance of energy detection-based spectrum sensing is investigated. Impact of noise uncertainty to the detection performance is examined, and effect of diversity detector is demonstrated to mitigate the impact of noise uncertainty.
