Abstract(in English) | Authors have been studying the Cognitive Radio which selects and utilizes the optimum schemes such as the frequency band and modulation method, by appropriately having the knowledge of the encountered radio environments. As one of research activities, we have developed the Software Defined Radio (SDR) equipment which is composed of the multi communication schemes (wireless LAN and WiMAX) onboard the single FPGA platform. Furthermore, as described in this paper, we have tried to manufacture the equipment which has the capability to monitor the amplitude and phase spectra of the propagation path, by using the functionality of the SDR. By using the equipment, we evaluated its performance and depict the results of the propagation monitoring. As for the propagation path, we assume firstly the two-wave model (direct plus reflected waves). The two-wave model is the typical one which represents the LOS (Line Of Sight) model. For LOS model, we obtain the basic performance characteristics for such model and study the numerical evaluation method. The measurement is also carried out for the model of NLOS (Non Line Of Sight). Using these measured data, we will investigate the estimation method of the propagation status. The manufactured equipment has the feature which is easily possible to monitor the characteristics, which would have to use the high performance measurement instrument and highly trained measurement technique, so far. |
