Abstract(in English) In the mobile system, the spectrum less than 6GHz has been used by the 3G mobile system and wireless LAN system, and there is an increased demand in more efficient use of spectrum. A cognitive radio technology is one of technologies to make more efficient use of spectrum to offer flexibility of frequency, band width and modulation according to the surround radio environment. This paper includes the study report of R&D activity on cognitive radio technology, which is a contract research from MIC (Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communications). Especially, "cognitive radio channel creation" technology in the heterogynous radio environment is focused on this paper; use several heterogeneous RATs, and create a virtual continuous large bandwidth by using multiple radio channels. In this paper, the overview of the "Cognitive radio channel creation" technology of one issue of R&D activity of cognitive radio technology is presented, and this shows the frequency efficiency by adopting this channel creation technology.
