Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) We studied perception of distance for walking including dynamic objects in VE. We simulated CG humans as dynamic objects and the situation is that the subject and CG humans faced each other and approached for walking. We had two Experiments. In Experiment 1, there are approaching CG humans and arranged-objects. In Experiment 2, there are only approaching CG humans. Then subjects were reported the walked distance of oneself and CG humans. As a result, the most of the subjects' estimates were approximately correct in Experiment 1, however, ones of Experiment 2 distorted for bothestimates. This means that the updating for egocentric and exocentric reference systems didn't function enough.
