Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) Event-related brain potential (ERP) is a voltage fluctuation in the electroencephalogram, time locked to exogenous or endogenous events. The P3 components elicited by a oddball task is considered to reflect updating of the working memory (WM). In the present study, we explored whether P3 components vary by individual difference in the WM capacity. There was no difference in the target P3b and the novelty P3a amplitude for WM capacity. However, low-span group produced larger non-target P3 amplitude to the simple non-target than high-span group did. In the 3-stimuli oddball task, there was no relation between context updating and WM capacity, whereas processing of non-target or inhibitory related individual difference in the WM capacity.
