Abstract(in English) Tunable distributed amplification (TDA)-DFB lasers, which are capable of fast and simple wavelength tuning by carrier injection, have been developed as a light source for future optical network systems. In this study we expanded the continuous wavelength-tuning range of a single TDA-DFB laser by optimization of the Bragg wavelength distribution in grating and obtained 5.0 nm tuning range. We fabricated 8 TDA-DFB laser array integrated with an optical combiner and a semiconductor optical amplifier (SOA) and the tuning range of 38.4 nm with the +13 dBm output power and low noise characteristics is achieved.
