| 抄録(和) | 本報告では、NTTにおける国内衛星通信の歴史、特に公衆通信網に適用する衛星通信システムについて述べる。本文では、地上方式との対比から、衛星通信の特長を改めて整理し、我が国の公衆通信網の中で、衛星通信がどのように利用されてきたかを振り返る。また、公衆通信網における衛星通信の有効な利用方法として、本衛星通信研究専門委員会委員長を務やられた故京都大学森広芳照教授がNTT在籍時に提案された、衛星通信を地上網と組み合わせて利用する。衛星中継網方式(DYANET : Dynamic channel assigning and routing network)を中心に、その提案に至る道程を振り返る。また、その考え方から導かれる将来の衛星通信の利用方法について考察する。 |
| 抄録(英) | This report describes the history of domestic satellite communication systems in NTT (Nippon Telegraph and Telephone Corp.). It tries to summarize the advantages of satellite communications in comparison with terrestrial communication systems, and describes how the satellite communications have been used in NTT's public telecommunications networks. More specifically speaking, it focuses on DYANET (Dynamic channel assigning and routing networks), which was proposed by Prof. Yoshiterii Morihiro, who was a former chairman of IEICE satellite communications technical group. The proposed DYANET is a very unique and innovative way to use satellite communication in combination with terrestrial networks. This report also describes how the concept was derived through the deep consideration on the features of the satellite communications as well as exploring an effective way to use satellite communications in telecommunications networks. |
