Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) This paper proposes an arbitrary frequency assignment multi-rate filter bank (AMFB) - type frequency demultiplexer / multiplexer. The proposed AMFB eliminates constraints on channel frequency assignment in the conventional multi-rate filter bank (MFB). It adds a frequency converter and a 1/2 decimator chain to each input of 2-channel filter bank to compliments the gap of its pass-band. Thus, the AMFB can demultiplx / multiplex every signal set which is arbitrarily assigned. We have developed a novel multi-carrier / multi-rate arbitrary frequency assignment modem that comprises the AMFB DEMUX / MUX and heterogeneous burst group demodulator / modulator. As the results of experimental evaluation, the developed modem achieves more than 40dB in channel selectivity, and less than 0.5dB in BER degradation.
