| Abstract(in English) | Recently, much attention has been paid to cooperative work environment using a tabletop interface with multiple people working face to face. Many tabletop environments have been presented with functions to view and edit data, but these functions have the problem of low work efficiency due to being unrelated to the normal software programs one uses on a personal computer. To solve this problem, our research group has previously proposed a cooperative work support system that utilizes a tabletop as the cooperative, shared working space together with each participant's laptop PC environment functioning as a personal working space. In this research, proposed is a cooperative working space seamlessly integrating the two working environments and providing dynamic joining and leaving of each participant's personal working space to and from the shared working space, along with intuitive communication between a user's personal working space and the shared working space. The proposed system improves the efficiency of the cooperative work distributed among the individuals by including support functions for comparison of text and 3D object data in the shared working space. An empirical study showed the superiority of the proposed system over a traditional system using a wall screen. |
