Abstract(in English) | There are three categories in AMOLED (Active Matrix Organic Light Emitting Diode) technologies. The first one is OLED patterning technology. Evaporation with shadow mask method, Ink-jet printing method and LITI (Laser Induced Thermal Imaging) method are available for the OLED pattering. The advantage and disadvantage among the three methods are discussed. The second one is TFT back plane fabrication technology. The TFT characteristics for AMOLED pixels must be more stable and more uniform than that for LCD pixels. Many kinds of TFT devices have been developed to meet the requirement. The third one is OLED driving technology. Various kind of driving methods for AMOLED are classified by the operation region of the driving TFT in each pixel. SOP (System on Panel) technology for AMOLED is also discussed. |
