Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) We have clarified through experiments and three-dimensional (3-D) finite-element method (FEM) electromagnetic field simulation that there is an optimum sheet resistance that maximize the loss in thin-film RF noise suppression films. In this paper the mechanism of optimum sheet resistance was analyzed based on analytical calculation, as well as 3-D FEM simulation as the reference. A disk model Was employed so that the eddy current losses generated by signal-line current and hence the flux linkage perpendicularly to the film plane can be analyzed. Eddy current losses and the optimum sheet resistance which maximize high harmonic losses in the disk model were qualitatively agreed between the two calculations.
