Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) This paper proposes an adaptive algorithm for identifying unknown systems containing nonlinear amplitude characteristics. Usually, the nonlinearity can be neglected. However, in low cost systems, such as acoustic echo canceller using a small loudspeaker, the nonlinearlty reduces the performance of the systems. Some methods preventing the reduction, approximations by a polynomial and Volterra series, are hence proposed and studied. A problem is that the approximation requires high processing cost. In this paper, we propose a method approximating the nonlinearlity with a polygonal curve and verify using computer simulations that the performance can be improved. Moreover, this paper gives a method reducing the processing cost for the polygonal curve approximation.
