Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) Cognitive radio recognizes the used condition of frequency depending on space and time and improves efficiency of frequency utilization and communication performance by selecting an optimal communication system. This paper proposes a new method reducing circuit area for reconfigurable multi-mode FFT processor in OFDM based cognitive radio. The proposed method connects butterfly blocks having two dimensions arrays and dynamically changes the connections of butterfly blocks and FIFO memory blocks according to a transmit mode. This structure can reduce circuit area by about 35 % compared to the conventional circuit.
