Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) In this report, we propose a new effective decision feedback channel estimation method in OFDM-based wireless communication under fast fading environment. The propagation channels are quite variable during OFDM symbols in fast fading environment. The combination of estimating channels at each symbol and averaging their channels using a first-order filter is effective to cope with such a situation. The proposed method introduces a discrete cosine transform (DCT)-based noise reduction to suppress estimate errors by the conventional method. It improves channel estimate accuracy and communication performance. The effectiveness of the proposed method is shown by computer simulation results in PER, which are based on the IEEE802.11a standard.
