Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) In this paper, we propose a fast halftoning method by using an inverse halftoning LUT (Look-Up Table). Usually, image proccessing tasks for halftone images, such as geometric transformation and contrast modulation, require an inverse halftoning and a re-halftoning process. To achieve fast inverse halftoning, the inverse halftoning method by using a LUT has been proposed, To reduce computational over head of inverse halftoning and re-halftoning, we proposed a fast halftoning method by using the inverse halftoning LUT. The proposed halftoning is not only capable to reduce computational cost, but also genarate high quarity halftone images. In experiments, comparisons between the proposed method and halftoning methods that employ linear filters for pixel toggling are demonstrated.
